How To Make A Love Potion?
Magic potion featured in some famous love stories like that of Tristan and Isolde, a love potion is a drink supposed to make the two people who consume it fall in love. Whether you want to bring love back into your life or strengthen the feelings in your relationship, magic can give you a little boost. We will explain how to make an easy and safe love potion.
What ingredients to use for a love potion?
Love filter recipes found online often recommend using magical plants and ingredients known for their aphrodisiac properties like ginger or chili.
In this article, I won't explain how to prepare a drink to boost libido, but rather teach you how to make a magical preparation to sweeten drinks, infusions, and other beverages.
This recipe to attract love is very simple and requires only two ingredients: liquid honey and dried rose buds, preferably organic. For this preparation, you can of course use your favorite variety of honey. However, to avoid masking the scent of the roses with a strong flavor of lavender or chestnut, I recommend using honey with a rather neutral taste, such as acacia honey.
What is the method to prepare a love potion?
As you may already know, Friday is the best day of the week to practice love magic and all rituals related to the heart and feelings. Indeed, it is the day associated with Venus, the Roman goddess of love.
To optimize the effectiveness of your preparation, start making a love potion on Friday. Choose a nice clean glass jar and fill it as follows:
• pour dried rosebuds at the bottom of the jar up to one third of its height.
• pour liquid honey over the dried flowers to fill the remaining two thirds.
How to prepare an effective love spell?
To enhance the effectiveness of this rose honey, you can also state an intention aloud. For example, you can use the following phrases:
• I welcome love and self-love.
• I open myself to love, tenderness, and compassion.
• I am ready for a new love story.
Note: The previous phrases are just suggestions. It's up to you to find the wording that best matches your intention.
Once you have spoken your magic formula, you can close the jar while saying: “I seal this energy in this remedy”. Don't forget to label the jar with the date before storing it away from heat and light.
In order for the rose buds to infuse in the honey and impart their fragrance, you must wait 4 to 6 weeks before using this base for love potion. It is advisable to shake the jar every day. This simple gesture helps to thoroughly mix the ingredients and facilitates the infusion process.
How to use a love filter?
From the legend of Tristan and Isolde to Harry Potter and his potion Amortentia, stories of love potions contain warnings about the dangers of such concoctions.
In the sixth book of the Harry Potter saga, Professor Slughorn warns his students about the Amortentia potion: “Of course, Amortentia doesn’t really create a feeling of love. It is impossible to manufacture or imitate love. No, it simply produces a strong attraction or obsession. It is undoubtedly the most powerful of the potions found in this room.”
The honey and rosebud preparation for which I provide the recipe does not claim to awaken love in someone who feels nothing for you. This is simply impossible as it would deny the person's free will.
On the other hand, taking a teaspoon of this rose-infused honey each day can bring sweetness and love into your life. Use this honey in your tea or on a slice of bread to enjoy its benefits. It is said that this remedy literally soothes the heart because the rose is a universal symbol of love and helps to welcome this feeling.
You can also offer this preparation to those with whom you want to strengthen your bonds, whether romantic or friendly. Whenever you use a form of magic related to food or drinks, I strongly advise you to inform the person with a small phrase like: “Would you like to taste my rose honey? It’s a fragrant honey that I prepared with love.”
Magical foods and drinks should not be administered secretly, for both ethical and medical reasons. Some people are allergic to honey, and this risk exists for other ingredients as well.
